I’ve seen this sign photographed a million times but during a recent walk downtown I noticed a parking garage near the sign. I walked 8 flights of stairs and found this little window looking out to the Jesus Saves sign.
Snapped this photo atop City Hall in Los Angeles. The wild colors are due to a forest fire burning in Venture – with smoke stretching down to Los Angeles and visible along the horizon. Hope everyone is staying safe!
On the set of Lucifer on Netflix, we go to a lot of locations, including churches. While in between scenes or while my actors are changing the clothes that I set in their room, I snap photos of the architecture and interesting locations. The shapes of this building were so detailed that I needed a good photo. Did I capture it?

Attending my first Unsplash photowalk hosted by a local photographer and two Unsplash designers. It was great to meet everyone that showed up. We met at Griffith Observatory and then did a short hike towards the Hollywood sign to reach the mid-point where we were able to get great photos of both the Hollywood sign as well as the Griffith Observatory.

While wondering around filming in Venice Beach I took a second, stepped back and took in the moment. Then I switched to camera mode and snapped this photo without truly dialing in the correct settings. When I got to editing the photo I actually enjoyed how it came out. The blurred facing and all. It gives light to know specific person so you can envision yourself as the guy or guy headed to catch some waves on a beautiful sunny Cali day.

I was at the Venice Skatepark one day and I saw this amazing skateboarder and he asked me to take a couple of lifestyle pictures for him so I took this one really special one that reminded me of Childish Gambino’s song Kauai.

I’ve shot on the Manhattan Beach Pier over a hundred times and have felt completely creatively drained. However, once I added a model it took on a completely different form. Challenges me to add a different element in old environments to force me to think differently and create new things out of old spots.

The other day while we were walking at the Manhattan Beach Pier my one year old son kept staring at all of the birds. So in an attempt to make him laugh we went down to the sand to get a closer look. As soon as we got close the seagulls lifted into the air and my son just started laughing. There are few things in life that are as satisfying as seeing your child smile.

This photo was taken during an outing with a friend who I had known for seven years, but had never met in person, believe it or not. We befriended each other through online video gaming, and became very close despite being 3,000 miles apart. Fortuitously, as he was training for the US Airforce, he was stationed at a base an hour away from my home. This was a great opportunity to show him around the places I grew up, including the Santa Monica Pier was this photo was taken. Having been born in Santa Monica, I had never thought much of these tourist attractions, but now this sight feels fresh.

While on a shoot for a local coffee shop, Vitals, we started shooting just before sunrise crested the hills. Eventually, as the sun shown through the streets at the top of the hills we were treated to a stunning and soft glow.

I took this photo while standing on the Hermosa Beach Pier in California this past January. It was my first time out to the West Coast and it rained the whole trip. At first I was bummed, but it also meant that there was near perfect lighting every time I wanted to take a photo. This little sailboat was one of a few out on the water since it was off-and-on showers but I sure am glad they were there.

We were exploring beautiful locations around Los Angeles and found this sweet place in Palos Verdes. This place sucked us in and let us wander around to contemplate for a good couple hours. I Drove to the Beach, so I can Try out my new ND filter I was Excited and I saw a moment where someone across from me was admiring the water. This photo captures someone admiring the water, and I captured the beautiful scenery where there is a City in the back, I love this photo because it makes me feel relaxed when I look at this, and I love the Minimalist look to this image.

I got to spend this Thanksgiving weekend at my in-laws beautiful beach house in Malibu. One morning, I woke up to see the sunrise. As the sun was coming up, I walked outside to go down the beach house stairs to the beach. This was the view and it was too good not to snap a photo or two of.

I woke up early one morning while I was staying on the coast of California to see the sunrise. The colors in the sky were unreal. I wanted to capture the peaceful calmness of the view, so I shot the wave breaking with a slow shutter, giving it that soft, peaceful feel. Takes me back every time I look at it.
